ADAC and Plus Test: What they are and why you should trust them

What are ADAC and Plus Tests?
🛡️ Because road safety starts before the seatbelt is fastened
Choosing a car seat is one of the most important decisions for a child's safety. And with so many options, it's hard to know what to trust. At ruut, we've made a decision: we only offer models approved by Europe's most demanding tests.
📊 ADAC - Independent German organization that tests:
- Frontal and side impact protection
- Handling and installation
- Ergonomics and presence of toxic substances
- Ease of cleaning
🧪 Plus Test - Extremely rigorous Swedish test, conducted on a few car seats per year:
- Evaluates pressure on the child's neck in frontal collisions
- Only those that keep levels below the risk of fatal injuries pass
💡 Did you know that not all brands undergo the Plus Test?
It's optional — and therefore, a major distinction. Only the most robust models can pass.
At ruut, we want you to choose with confidence. That's why all our car seats have ADAC and/or Plus Test approval.
🚗 Safety isn't guessed — it's tested.
